Deepak is a "Triple Boarder" physician specialized in Pediatrics, Adult and Child Psychiatry. He is driven by the belief that we can help patients, in any country and language, before they step foot in the hospital or emergency room.
Imagine Health is personal for Deepak. As a dyslexic growing up in an immigrant household, he became sensitive to what it feels like to "miss the memo." Fascinated by the power of storytelling and visual mediums, Deepak founded Imagine Health to help the countless individuals who suffer, often unknowingly, from a lack of awareness or understanding. Through entertaining, inspiring, and culturally competent creative, Imagine Health brings essential medical messages into our hearts and minds to improve public health literacy.
Deepak is the Co-founder and CEO of Hello Session (hellosession.com), which enables patients and primary care doctors to connect with mental health providers through video. He graduated NYU's combined BA/MD program with a Presidential Scholarship and has been awarded the USA Congressional Award for his community impact. He completed an NIH awarded Pre-doctoral research fellowship at the NYU Child Study Center in Cognitive and Behavioral Neuroscience and is a published author of several scientific manuscripts and articles. Deepak completed his residency and fellowship training at Mount Sinai's Triple Board Program in New York City and is the recipient of the 2015-16 American Psychiatric Association's Minority Fellowship Award. He serves on the APA Council for Communication and Fellowship Selection Committee.
